Jason Lumb - Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
I am a fully qualified therapist and hold a diploma in advanced CBT which was gained at The University of Cumbria. I qualified in 2013. I have experience in working with clients who present with...
anxiety, panic disorder, depression, OCD, phobias, low self esteem, addiction issues and anger management.
Additionally I have been working in the field of addictions for 18 years both with adults and young people, which has given me an excellent back ground in working in a collaborative non judgemental way with clients from a wide variety of back grounds.
As well as individual therapy I have also delivered NHS group work programmes on Stress management, and a variety of group work to young people in schools on substance misuse, and mental health. I am passionate about working in my chosen field and understand the debilitating effect that poor mental health can have on both individuals and families if left untreated.
I became a therapist because I feel that it really empowers people to make positive changes in their lives, and CBT has a solid evidence base to support it.
